This page serves as a guideline for Icon Offshore Berhad and its subsidiaries’ (“the GROUP”) stakeholders to report a Whistleblowing complaint to the management of Icon Offshore Berhad for action.
Icon Offshore Berhad (“the Company”) expects the highest standard of conduct and integrity from all that have dealings with it. The Company takes serious view of any Wrongdoing on the part of any of the GROUP’s employees, management, directors and service providers in particular with respect to their obligation to the GROUP’s interest.
The Whistleblowing channels are established to help stakeholders raise concerns, without fear of retaliation, on any Wrongdoing that they may observe in the GROUP.
Type of Wrongdoing
2.1.1 Parties can report a Whistleblowing complaint if they are aware of any Wrongdoing, including but not limited to the following:
(a) Criminal offence such as fraud, corruption, theft etc.;
(b) Forgery or alteration of any document or account belonging to the any companies within the Group;
(c) Misappropriation of funds, securities, supplies or other asset;
(d) Impropriety in the handling or reporting of money or financial transactions;
(e) Profiteering as a result of insider knowledge of the GROUP’s activities;
(f) Conduct which is an offence or a breach of law;
(g) Financial malpractice;
(h) Breach of the GROUP’s Code of Conduct (Ethics);
(i) Abuse of power and position for personal gain;
(j) Any act that poses danger to health and safety; and
(k) Any act that causes damage to the environment.
Acting in Good Faith
Icon Offshore Berhad expects all parties to act in good faith and have reasonable grounds when reporting a Whistleblowing complaint. If allegations are proven to be malicious, parties responsible may be subject to appropriate action, up to legal action where applicable.
Whistleblowing complaints can be made in ANY of the following reporting channels:
(a) Telephone call to Head of Corporate Governance and Risk Management at +603 2180 6346 from Monday to Friday during office hours;
(b) Private meeting with Head of Corporate Governance and Risk Management;
(c) In writing to Head of Corporate Governance and Risk Management; or
(d) Email to Head of Corporate Governance and Risk Management at firstname.lastname@example.org or Senior Independent Non-Executive Director at email@example.com.Parties submitting the complaints via email or letter should disclosed their names, contact number, detail of person (s) involved, nature of allegation, when and where the incident took place and provide evidence, if possible.
